He participated in the Istanbul Biennial’s Research and Production Programme in 2022 and the SAHA Studio Artist Residency Programme in 2024. Working across various media such as painting, archives, video, and photo-collage, Aksoy focuses on the memory of spaces and places through the practice of tracing their pasts.

Michael Akstaller focuses on flow research, hydroacoustics, and acoustic studies, as well as the relationships between sound and space, movement and performance. His scientific, artistic and curatorial practice often embraces interdisciplinary collaboration.

Prof. Dr. E. Füsun Alioğlu graduated from the Istanbul State Academy of Engineering and Architecture in 1978 and completed her PhD in 1989 with a study on the traditional urban fabric of Mardin. She held various administrative roles at Yıldız Technical University before joining Kadir Has University in 2008. Her work focuses on architectural history, cultural heritage conservation, and architectural education, with numerous national and international publications.

Senem Akçay co-authored the graphic novel Netame with Sadi Güran and Deniz Cuylan. She currently teaches at Kadir Has University and is the founder of Tamirhane Architecture and The Keep. Her work focuses on the adaptive reuse of historical buildings through culture-oriented, multidisciplinary research, alongside museum, exhibition, and archaeological documentation projects.

Ali Mahmut Demirel is a Berlin-based audiovisual artist with a background in nuclear engineering and architecture. After a period of exploring digital imagery, he has shifted his focus to lens-based visuals, drawing inspiration from nature, particularly rocks, as both material and muse.

Sinem Dişli is an artist who specialises in photography, video, and installation. Her practice explores geological time, ecological shifts, and colonialist approaches to land and resources, questioning how we construct history and define nature. By utilising experimental techniques, she examines landscapes as interconnected bodies of transformation.

Yelda Gin is an architect, educator and researcher based in Cambridge and London. She is also a faculty member in Architectural Technology and Digital Construction at London South Bank University. Her research focuses on reducing the construction industry’s carbon footprint by integrating advanced technologies with low-carbon materials.

Ali Miharbi lives and works in Istanbul. His work explores our symbiotic relationship with artificial objects by navigating social, technical, and historical perspectives. It can take various forms, ranging from photographic, graphic, sonic or sculptural pieces to dynamic systems driven by live or stored data.

Based in Istanbul, architect Özgül Öztürk is the founder of Circular Design. With over a decade of experience in luxury interior design, she conducted an in-depth assessment of the global energy consumption of the construction industry and its impact on the planet. Since then, her expertise has focused on designing low-carbon, sustainable spaces by blending local wisdom, inspiration from nature, and contemporary interpretation.

Serkan Taycan is an artist, curator, and academic with a background in engineering and documentary photography. His research centres on the right to the city, urban transformation, and artistic activism, particularly in Istanbul. Using photography, video, mapping, and walking, he examines ecological and urban dynamics. Taycan is a PhD candidate in the Architecture and Urbanism programme at Carleton University and splits his time between Istanbul and Ottawa.

Orkan Telhan is a researcher and designer based in New York who leads the data systems and intelligence division at Ecovative, a company specialising in mycelium-based materials, food and textiles. His research focuses on microbial ecology, biomaterials and biocomputation. He is currently a fellow in MIT’s ACT programme and also serves as the president of the Biodesign Challenge.

Mono Earth is a duo consisting of an architect and an earth artist who aim to make the beauty of the natural world the subject of design and art. Based in Cappadocia, Türkiye, Can Cumalı and Çağlar İşbilir utilise various earth techniques, primarily rammed earth, to create meaningful engagements with spaces and people in diverse contexts and scales, both in Türkiye and internationally.

Within the entropic nature of our universe, OZRUH explores how design can counteract the fragilities of the built environment to engage with disorder and volatility. Through open-ended forms, material-driven experimentation and novel material cycles, the studio develops architectures that sustain themselves by adapting to uncertainty.
